We’ve provided services for over 50 different residential and commercial projects in the Colorado Front Range and Foothills area from Littleton to Greeley, ranging in size from ½ acre to 300 acres. Our projects fall into three categories of land development:

Van’s Equipment, Dacono, CO
Client: Van’s Equipment Company
A 1-acre commercial site in the Silver Peaks development at I-25. We prepared the site plan, design, and construction drawings for the grading, drainage, paving, utilities, landscaping, and lighting. As a special design and construction phasing challenge, through negotiations with the City of Dacono, the developer was allowed to concurrently open the property for business (using a temporary construction trailer and an inventory of onsite construction equipment) while final design and construction of the site and office building was underway.

Grand Divide / Go Green Self Storage, Dacono, CO

A 6-acre commercial site in the Grand Divide Business Park with 11 buildings, 3 lots, 2 detention ponds, and a sanitary lift station. We prepared the site plan, design, and construction drawings for the grading, drainage, streets, and utilities.

New Energy Tech Company (NETCO) Building, Dacono, CO

A 1-acre commercial site in the Grand Divide Business Park with 1 warehouse/office building and an on-site detention pond. We prepared the site plan, design, and construction drawings for the grading, drainage, paving, and utilities.

Ken Armfield prepared the drainage design, drainage report and grading for this 7-acre site in the Vista Commercial Park, just east of Longmont.

Vista Commercial Park, Weld County, CO
Employer:Pickett Engineering Company
Ken Armfield prepared the drainage design, drainage report, and grading for this 145-acre, 77-lot commercial development located just east of Longmont. The stormwater detention area for the site is contained in 5 consecutive ponds in the setback area adjacent to Highway 119.
Sandstone Ridge, Frederick, CO
Client: Dillon LLC / Wayne Wentworth, P.E.
Prepared drainage design and drainage report for 65-acre residential and commercial subdivision site. The residential portion of the site has been approved and is ready for construction. The commercial portion of the site has received preliminary approval, and final design is currently underway.
Residential Land Development

Valeview Subdivision, Mead, CO
Client: Park Engineering Consultants.
Ken Armfield prepared the final drainage design and report for this 300 acre residential subdivision site adjacent to I-25. The drainage design also involved construction of 2 detention ponds placed in-line with an existing stream.

Longview Ranchettes, Niwot, CO
Client: Unkefer LLC / Wayne Wentworth, P.E.
Ken Armfield prepared the final drainage design and report for this 2-acre residential subdivision. The drainage design included a detention pond for each of the 2 lots.

Nesting Crane Development, Weld County, CO:

Ken Armfield prepared the final drainage design and report for this 37-acre residential subdivision site which includes 9 lots and a stormwater detention pond.

Foxhaven Development, Niwot, CO:

Ken Armfield prepared the final drainage design and report for this 14-acre, six lot residential subdivision. The stone faced “entry wall” in this photo is actually part of the stormwater detention pond.
St. Vrain Ranch Subdivision, Firestone, CO:

Ken Armfield prepared the master plan and final drainage designs and reports for this 200-acre residential subdivision.
Floodplain Engineering and Channel Restoration
Diagonal Trade Center, Longmont, CO
Client: Skyline Builders, Inc. / Wayne Wentworth, P.E.
A 6-acre commercial/industrial park in central Longmont, just south of the Diagonal, along Dry Creek. The project included extensive grading, utilities, paving, two detention/water quality ponds, and a FEMA Letter of Map Revision (pending) to remove portions of the site from the 100-year floodplain.

Lakewood Gulch, Denver, CO:
Employer: Greenhorne & O’Mara / ICON Engineering.
On-Site Resident Engineer for construction of approximately 4,000 feet of extensive channel improvements on Lakewood Gulch between Knox Ct and Sheridan Blvd, including a large concrete wall drop structure, boulder drop structures, channel re-alignment and re-grading, channel boulder lining, wetland terraces, and significant overlot grading.

University of Colorado Business Research Park, Boulder, CO:

On-Site Resident Engineer for construction of roadway, bridge, utilities, and drainage channel improvements project.
Elmwood Baptist Church, Adams County (Brighton), CO:
Client: Elmwood Baptist Church
Floodplain investigation, Floodplain Development Permit, and elevation certificate for expansion of church located in floodplain.
Dry Creek Improvements – Phase I, Adams County, CO:
Client: Anderson & Company Ecoplanning, Inc.
Assisted wetlands consultant with constructability considerations and construction observation on wetlands mitigation/construction project. The project included grading and planting of a wetlands shelf at the shore of a former gravel mining pond, including areas normally under water.
